Privacy policy

Your privacy matters.

This page explains what personal information I collect through this website, why I collect it and what your rights are. Last updated 29 October 2026.

Who I am

This website is run by Your Tax & Accounts Club, based in Sudbury, Suffolk. I am the person responsible for looking after your information (the “data controller”). You can contact me at laura@yourtaxclub.co.uk or on 07949 616518. I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) as a data controller.

What I collect

When you send an enquiry through the contact form, I collect the details you choose to give me:

  • your name and email address
  • your phone number, if you add one
  • the type of business you run and the services you are interested in
  • anything you write in the message box

If you contact me by email, phone or WhatsApp, I will also have the details you share in those messages.

Why I use it

I use your details to reply to your enquiry and to talk with you about whether I can help. My lawful basis for this is that it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and my legitimate interest in running my practice. I do not use your details for marketing unless you ask me to.

Who else sees it

I do not sell your information. The website and the contact form are hosted by Wix, which stores form submissions on my behalf, and my emails are handled by my email provider. I only share information with other people if the law requires it or if you ask me to.

If you become a client, I will explain how I look after your client information separately.

How long I keep it

I keep your details for six years after our last contact or the end of our work together, which is the usual period for accountancy and tax records. After that, I delete them securely.

Cookies and similar technology

I do not add advertising or tracking cookies to this site. Your browser stores a small technical identifier so that the contact form and blog can work properly.

Your rights

You have the right to ask to see the information I hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how I use it, and to ask for a copy you can take elsewhere. To use any of these rights, just contact me using the details above.

If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. I would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Changes to this policy

If I change this policy, I will update the date at the top of this page.
